Once you've acquired the code from CodeCanyon, sign in to your admin panel as an administrator and navigate to the "Apps" section. You'll find an "Add" button there, which allows you to upload the zip file obtained from CodeCanyon.
Once the module is installed, navigate to "Settings->Apps," where you'll find the "PrintNode" section.
In the "PrintNode" section, you'll need to input the "Convert API" secret. You can obtain this secret from https://www.convertapi.com/.
The Convert API is utilized for generating PDF invoices in real-time. This setup is optional.
When vendors access their management site (or you, as admin, accessing the restaurant setup), they can navigate to the apps section to set up PrintNode (https://www.printnode.com/en).
PrintNode enables us to connect any printer to the platform using the PrintNode Client and an easy-to-use JSON API.
Register an account on PrintNode.com and select your preferred pricing plan, which includes a free option.
Paste the API Key you received from PrintNode into the designated fields labeled "PrintNode API Key."
Download the client software from PrintNode.com.
Install the client and log in using your username and password.
Ensure that your printer is connected and powered on.
PrintNode will assign an ID to your printer.
Copy the printer ID provided by Print Node.
Paste the printer ID into the designated fields labeled "Main Thermal," "Kitchen Thermal," or "Standard Printer ID" based on your preferences.
Configure when you want the orders to be printed out.
This video tutorial can provide assistance.
Sure, you can find the list of supported printers here. However, I encourage you to first test it out in the demo environment.
To experience the demo and test on your existing printer, follow these steps:
Create an account on PrintNode.com and download their client.
Obtain the ID of your Thermal or Standard Printer (as demonstrated in the video).
Get an API key from PrintNode.com.
Log in to the FoodMonkey demo environment as admin@example.com
Navigate to the restaurants section and select one of the demo restaurants.
Enter your API key and Printer ID in the settings.
Place a demo order for that restaurant.
Verify that the order is printed on your printer.
Remove the printer ID and API key from the demo site.
Delete the API key from your PrintNode.com account.
